El salvador 2011

Step of Faith

For years, River West Church has partnered with an organization called Agros International to love and serve a group of people trapped in the cycle of poverty in El Salvador.  The people have been able to establish a village, learn farming techniques, receive government approval to dig a well to irrigate their land, and experience firsthand the love of God through His people.  It is such a beautiful thing!

Rob and I have often prayed for the River West teams who usually travel there once or twice a year, and for the people of the village, called Nuevo Renacer, (New Beginngings).  We have enjoyed the privilege of supporting team members.  And we’ve heard their stories of faith in action, of God’s provision and presence throughout their trips, and of the hope and joy on the faces of the villagers when they experience the love of the Gospel in action.

Now, Rob and I believe that God is asking us to quit standing on the sidelines and join the team!  During Spring Break this March, we’ll be flying to El Salvador, meeting the villagers, working on projects around the village with them, and sharing the love of the Lord.  We anticipate with joy all the things God will do in our hearts and in our church’s relationship with the village during this trip.
